How did KiteBeachCam.com come about?  The answer is simple:   we wanted the convenience of checking our favorite kite surf spot from our home computer or laptop.  

Who’s at Kite Beach?  What size kite should I use today..and how’s the wind lookin’ up?  No need to drive all the way down to the beach after tightly strapping all your gear down to your beach cruiser, only to be disappointed with minute waves and wind as dead as a doorknob.

KiteBeachCam.com saves everyone time and gas because you get to see all the action before you head out!

If you’re on island and can see from the webcam that the waves are bumpin’ and the wind is up, you might be tempted to call in sick and join in on all the action...after all, you wouldn’t want to be the only one who missed out, sits there quietly while all your friends talk about the “EPIC SEISSION!!!!” that they had while you were at work, would you?  Didn’t think so.

What started out as a wireless solution 7 miles away from the beach powered by solar panels, our dreams of bringing live webcam coverage of Kite Beach quickly faded away with battery problems, rust, and malfunctions.

Now back with full force, Kite Beach Cam is one of the only few mobile cams out there.  Yes...mobile cam.  We religiously drive a truck down to the beach and park it there every morning just for your viewing pleasure.  This mobile cam ain’t for the weak-hearted.  It’s tricked out and powered by a windmill and solar panel!
